Australia District Inc Responds to the Tsunami Devastation Kiwanis Australia District Inc. has responded to the Tsunami devastation in S.E Asia and the Indian Ocean by establishing an Appeal fund for the many thousands of homeless children now without food, water and shelter. Many of these children are also now orphaned by the destruction. District Governor Frank Fotiades has advised that the Australia District Inc. will receive tax-deductible funds from Kiwanis Clubs, individual members and from public donations until further notice. Receipts will be issued as requested on all amounts over $ 2.00, either through the District Charitable Trust Inc (Subject to Tax office confirmation) or via the Australian Salesian Mission Oversea Aid Fund - A currently registered Overseas Aid network. The Salesian Mission Fund (Our partner in the Timor Dairy Project) has an extensive aid network and is currently providing relief centres directly in the hardest hit areas of Sri Lanka, Thailand, India and other locations in the area devastated by the waves. They can effectively place our funds if required. This fund will deliver 100% of your total donation without indirect cost. To make your donation simply complete the donation coupon and mail with payment to Dist Sec Brian Emery C/O P.O. Box 164 Highbury S.Aust 5089. Posted: December 31, 2004 News Flash!
